Hello,

I have a phone located at a remoted office and i wanted to make it register to my local CUCM through the internet.

Are there any other solutions than using a VPN ? Using expressway maybe?

Thanks for your help.

Hi

Expressway is currently supported for Jabber clients and some other units.

For IP PHones, you can either use:

- VPN (SSLVPN built into the phone to an ASA or whatever at the office)

- CUBE Line Side Proxy (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/asr1000/configuration/guide/sbcu/sbc_cucm.html)

The VPN option can work very well. I've not tried the CUBE proxy myself.

Aaron

Hi Aaron,

Thanks for the answer.

I will have to go with VPN option in this case.

Rohan

I think that's the best option.

Hi.

+5 to my buddy Aaron

With expressway version 8.5.2 iPhone 88XX 78XX and DX series are enabled to register remotely through MRA.

Hi Carlo

Useful to know (+5) - I hadn't realised phones were getting support for this. I'm guessing there's no roadmap for 79xx/69xx phones?
