EA6500 IPV6 and wireless extenders Need an explanation!

I have an Linksys EA6500 connected via Comcast.

Speed testing the wireless connection from the router my speeds are:IPv4 90 Mbps, IPv6 90 Mbps downloads!

When I connect via my signal extender and run the speed test my speeds are:

IPv4 30 Mbps downloads.  This I understand with extenders providing less bandwidth than direct wireless router connection.

However, the IPv6 test through the extender measures 90 Mbps downloads.

How can this be?

The extender is connected to the EA6500 via the 2.4Ghz network.

I don't understand how the Comcast Infinity Speed Test is able to return the IPv6 download measurements.

Can anyone explain this?
