Hi
yesterday I needed to update the firmware in 2 3750X-24T so they are the same as the rest of our 3750X's we have.
The first went as it should have however the second failed after I issued the "reload" command.
When rebooting this 3750X gets as far as
Front-end Microcode IMG MGR: Preparing to program device microcode...
Front-end Microcode IMG MGR: Preparing to program device[0]...594412 bytes.
Front-end Microcode IMG MGR: Programming device 0...rrrrrrwsssssssssssssssssssps
sssssssssssssssssspssssssssssssssssssspssssssssssssssssssspsssssssssssssssssssps
sssssssssssssssssspssssssssssssssssssspssssssssssssssssssspsssssssssssssssssssps
sssssssssssssssssspssssssssssssssssssspssssssssssssssssssspsssssssssssssssssssp
Then repeats "ssssssssssssssssssp"
Ware to from hear?
I have tried to reload the bin image into the firmware file into flash from a USB memeory stick but with no luck.
I am not sure if it is related but
After issuing the "flash_init" command, the 3750x seems to hang for a long time at
switch: flash_init

Hi John, in my experience the "sssssssssssspssssssssssssssp" is all part of the ROM upgrade process. When you're in ROMMON mode (the "switch" prompt), try booting off your USB by using the following command:
