Dialling SIP IP addresses from DX80..

Hi guys,

We are running DX80s on our CUCM 10 infrastructure..

We have SIP route patterns created in CUCM which route to our VCS environment, which then get passed out as appropiate.

These route patterns are all domain name entries

I am now looking to create a similar pattern but use an IP address instead to reach an external video endpoint..

I have created the entry in CUCM, however when dialing the IP address from the DX80, it does not seem to dial the destination address as expected..

for example..

1/ SIP pattern created to route ip address 10.20.30.40 to our VCS environment..

2/ User dials 10.20.30.40 from their DX80, however what is attempted by the DX80 when you press dial is 10203040 ( ie. the '.' are not recognised )

3/ Call therefore does not get routed to VCS as it does not matched the desired pattern.

I am assuming that this is possible otherwise there would not be an IP address routing option in CUCM..

I cant seem to find an related documentation for this.. Has anyone got this set up and advise what I have missed please.

Thanks.

Jon.
