They added a "History" tab on the web interface's call control page starting with TC6.1 (they renamed it to "Recents" in TC7.1), however there isn't an option to download that history.

Using SSH, there is an "xHistory" command that will output all call history, though the formatting might not be what you're looking for.

There might be some call history contained in the endpoint logs under Diagnostics > Log Files, but not sure which logs might contain the call history if any.

Further to what Patrick has said regarding the xHistory command, it'll only show you the last 100 calls, so, if you have a busy endpoint, it may not have everything depending on how often you're trying to capture it.

I'd also strongly recommend that you update your SX20 from TC6.0 as there are a number of security vulnerabilities in that older software version.

If you have an active service contract on your device you should be able to download the software from the Cisco Download Software Site.  If you do not have an active service contract, you can contact the TAC referencing one of the recent security advisories such as http://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20140605-openssl, and you should be able to get a "free" upgrade to the new TC7 software.

xHistory Command : what are the command line and how it works, to download the software

If you have an SSH client, such as Putty, log into the SX20 with the admin account and enter the command "xHistory".  If you want to download a copy of the call history, turn on logging in the application before typing the command.

As an alternative to SSH, you can use Telnet, but you will need to turn it on first as it's disabled by default.  Telnet can be turned on under the NetworkServices options either by using the SX20 web interface or remote.

i have followed all your instruction and it works but the problem is not showing the recent call IPs, it shows only call counter

Hi,

You can download the history of calls using putty.

On putty, use SSH to connect to the system.

1. Type the IP address of the SX20 with default port 22.

2. Click on Logging.

3. Under Logging, tick on All session output.

4. Rename the file.

5. Click Browse where you want to save the file.

6. Click Open to start capturing the log files.

7. Login to your SX20 using admin credentials if required. Type xHistory and it will show the call history and automatically captured and saved as text file.

Refer to page 18:

http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/endpoint/quick-set-sx20/tc6/api_reference_guide/codec-sx20-api-reference-guide-tc63.pdf

8. Close the SSH session and open the file using wordpad or notepad.

regards,

Acevirgil
