Accessing a 2960-X Switch from the Mini USB Port on a Mac

I have a 2960-X switch with a USB Mini B port.  Using the USB Mini B to Type A console cable:  how do I connect to the switch with Command Line Interface?  Secondly, once I am connected how to I upgrade the SW Image.

You will need a certain driver for usb connection try this link below, use putty and click serial it contains the default cisco settings for accessing devices, make sure your on the right com port you can check in device manager on your pc --manage--ports

to upgrade the switch you will need to download your software first and then follow this guide

Thanks for your reply.  But that software looks like it is just for a PC.  I'm looking to do this with a Mac.

 

As for the link, yes I've seen that before and it works on a PC.

I had that file when I got it working on my PC awhile back.  Your post motivated me to look at it again.  I see there is a ReadMe in there about the Mac.  Thanks a lot!
