SNTC and Collector software

hi everyone

i'm trying to put in operation all features of SNTC and the collector software. I could access to the Cisco Access Management portal and obtain the privileges to access to SNTC portal.

i downloaded the collector software from the SNTC portal. When i try to activate the collector, i need a zip file that i must download from SNTC portal once you have registered the collector.

When i try to register the collector into the SNTC Portal, i don't have access in the window for registration.

I opened a case with cisco TAC, but they tell me that  i need a NLS1, CSAS, or PSS contract, for have assist from cisco TAC. Unfortunately i don't have this type of contract.

When i try to register the collector, the portal SNTC error showed is reflected in the picture. I don't know if i need other kind of privileges, but i assigned all the privileges that i could have.

I need to know what i should to do to fix this situation, I appreciate all your collaboration.

Thank you all in advance

Best regards

Hello Jose ,

I think the issue got resolved from your side Please follow the belwo steps :

1.

Log in to SNTC portal and verify you have access by clicking on the menu items in left navigation panel

SNTC Portal: https://tools.cisco.com/smartservices

2.

Log in to Cisco Services Access Management(CSAM) tool and grant access to additional users in your company.

CSAM tool: https://tools.cisco.com/CDCEB/

Your next step will be to upload inventory in the portal. For more information on File import capability, check out the following links:

Hello-

Here are the steps to grant Role Based access to the SNTC Portal including the Collector details. https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/12583596/adding-new-users-smart-net-total-care-portal

Can you confirm that you are added as a Customer Administrator? If you are not, that is required to obtain the level of access to work on the Collector.

hello Sandra

Thanks for your collaboration, I checked if I have the permits and according to the website i have the permits.

In this moment the website doesn't respond very well, frequently throws errors or keeps it  loading indefinitely. i don't know  if this could be the mistakes reason.

let me know if i can do anything else to fix this situation

best regards

I am also having the exact same issue. We have double checked that we have the correct permissions, and tried with multiple users on multiple browsers with the same problem. It seems like perhaps the website coding is having troubles - many of the drop downs are incorrectly labeled, and every page has "You are not entitled to access this content.". Do we need to wait a certain amount of time after signing up for the portal to go live? Or are we just experiencing some technical difficulties?

Once you confirm that you do have access in CSAM to the portal note the following:

1. Preferred browser is Chrome followed by Firefox

2. It takes approximately 24-48 hours to sync from CSAM to the Portal

3. Try to clear your cache and cookies in the preferred browser and attempt to log in

Here are details about the different roles for access. Associating users to your company is one part, the second is the Role for SNTC (Customer Admin, Customer User). Without granting the User Role, you will not be able to obtain access to the portal.

This is not the same as associating a CCO to a contract.

If you have an active NLS1 Contract, you can also open a TAC Case for additional support.

Hi Jose,

Could you please follow the below steps to log in to CSAM UI and add the user:

  1. Please clear the Cookies and history of you browser and close the browser.

  2. Then please type http://tools.cisco.com/CDCEB or the URL provided to you to login to CSAM tool.

  3. If you have the DA access for your company please perform “User-Company Associations”.  Steps to perform

    1. User-Company Associations -> Associate User to My Company -> Search by Cisco User ID or Email -> Click on Next button on Right side of the screen ->Click Finish Button

  4. After Point#3, popup window will appear, you can select “Yes” or “No”, if you select “No” then follow completed point#5, else Please follow red marked.

  5. After Point#3, then “User-Role Assignments”, Steps to perform

  6. User-Role Assignments -> Assign Roles to Users à Search by Cisco User ID or Email ->Click on Submit button -> Select Checkbox on the same page -> Click on Next button on Right side of the screen -> Select role “Customer Administrator”  OR “Customer User” ->Click Finish Button on right side of the screen.

Please revert in case still you have issue(s) with CSAM UI and user assignment .

Pamela

Hello,

To enable the features of the SNTC portal, you currently have two options:

1) Wait until the release of CSPC 2.5, after which you will have access to a link to download the 2.5 OVA. Earlier versions require a TAC engineer to deploy and configure. The announcement of this release will be posted to the community.

2) Use the file import feature on the SNTC portal:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/12566046/csv-file-import-sntc-3x-application-note

You can access the portal itself by going here:

https://tools.cisco.com/smartservices/

Here is a link to the portal user guide that should go into more detail about the full list features you can use and reports you can generate:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/12566066/smart-net-total-care-portal-user-guide

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you,

Lynden
