Passive Client with AP Group

Hi Guys,

I'm not sure what is the best solution to configure a Workaround for a passive Client.

We have wired Clients behind Workgroup bridges (Siemens) with static IPs.

Additional we have configured AP Group.

Since passive Client together with AP Groups are not supported I'm looking for a good Workaround.

What is a good solution, MAC filter on WLAN or static ARP in Layer3 device?

We have 3700 Access Points and 5760 WLC (SW 3.7)

thanks

Martin

Have you found a solution to this problem?

I just enabled global multicast and the passive client feature despite of having AP Groups. Regarding the clients behind the WGB, they now get an IP via DHCP and the traffic is flowing.

I guess the limitations that you named and which are listed in the Cisco config guide only apply if you use passive client for real passive clients. If you just use passive clients in regards to 3rd party WGB support, then it will work.

Maybe you can confirm that with your setup?
