hello,
we have a couple of access point Cisco AIR-CAP2602I-E-K9 that are configured as lighweight access point.
can we convert these access point to mesh firmware ?
We need to configure these access point in Bridge mode as RAP or mesh access points as MAP
is it possible ?
kind regards,
Cristiano

If the AP is already in lightweight mode (connected to a WLC) you can change the mode to 'Bridge' which is effectively mesh mode, and then set up the AP as a RAP or MAP.
There isn't a 'Mesh' firmware, the options are either lightweight or autonomous. Mesh is only available using a WLC and therefore lightweight AP software.
Hope this helps,
Pete.
