Hello-
I need to configure a SIP device which will indicate to users that there is a voice mail waiting by blinking. It will be installed on the ceiling for clear visibility. How should I configure this device? Do I have to consider this device as another SIP phone and configure it in CCM first and then in Unity?
This light is part of users who are configured in UCCX /Finesse. Can I configure something on CCG in UCCX?

Hi
you can register it at Sip third party endpoint on CUCM.
Add the assigned dn as message waiting indicator extension on User's voicemail.

Hi.
No you have nothing to do within call control group .
For MWI you have to check which feature is supported on your device.
You can post the model and vendor and I can try to find if it can fit with that functionality.
Many third party sip devices support mwi with unity connection
Let me know

Thanks Carlo....
my problem is I have already have 9 alter ext. configured in Unity and I can't add more (limitation for Unity). The reason I have 9 configured there is-we want to have all 9 staff members MWI turn ON when there is a message waiting for a general mail box. Do you think there is a different way of doing this? Like-creating VM profile and assign it to all 9 members!!!
