Service Pack behavior

After installing a service pack I noticed that the old service pack is still marked as "active":

Any ideas on that Xander? Now I also found out that the old service pack can be deactivated and removed hitlessly, but my questions is what is the recommendation here? Leave the old SP active or remove it? Is this a bug?

Florian,

This is CSCuw19292 Inactive Feature or Service pack shows up in show install active summary.

For your second question, you can remove the older SP. Its a good idea.

Eddie.
