Hello everyone,

I have a 2821 router with 2 x VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1 cards connecting ppp links in a bundle, we are replacing it with a 2951 but also adding a new ppp link, nevertheless we would like to reuse the existing VWIC2 cards and just procuring a new VWIC3-1MFT-T1/E1 card for adding this additional link in the same bundle, my question here: would it be possible to have a multilink working with vwic2 and vwic3 cards?

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

I just checked one of my routers. I have ppp multilink on two different modules. wic-1dsu-t1-v2 and VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1. So it should work in your case too.

multilink work properly.

Hope it helps,

Masoud

Hello,

I think you would have no problem because E1/T1 cards provides layer one connectivity while ppp multilink is L2.
