Hi,

Our plan is connect two offices using Cisco RV320. Currently we have static IP only in one office. Is it possible to connect two Cisco RV320 having static IP address in one office only?

If your talking about 1 public static ip address no you cant

you would need the 2nd office to be on some sort of private wire or layer 2 trunk and it would need to break out the office 1 public ips

The public ip is unique on the internet it cant exist in two places or it will cause blackhole routing

If the 2 offices are close enough to run cables between them then you could but if you can only route out of 1 device with 1 public ip

Hi artemt001,

Thank you for using the Cisco Small Business Forums. My name is Andrew and I am an eSupport Content Developer in the Small Business Support Community. Are you intending to connect your offices through a Gateway-to-Gateway Virtual Private Network (VPN)? If this is the case, the following article, Gateway to Gateway Virtual Private Network (VPN) Configuration on RV320 and RV325 VPN Router Series, may be useful in guiding you through its configuration.

To establish a successful connection, at least one of the routers must be identifiable by a static IP address, so you are fine having a static IP address for only one of the offices. This is also confirmed by the RV320 Admin Guide which can be found here on page 83.

Hope this helps!

Best,

Andrew
