Third party proxy - location?

Hi, hopefully a simple question:

the Jabber Guest 10.6 documentation mentions a 3rd party proxy which my customer would like to implement.

It isn't clear to me whether the 3rd party proxy sits in front of the VCS-Expressway or whether it bypasses the VCS-E/VCS-C http proxy functionality and instead forwards http/https requests directly to the Jabber Guest server.

Would appreciate any guidance.

Thanks

David

Hi David,

I think you are referring to this part of the document:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/Guest/10_6/icg...

The proxy is in front of Expressway-E, and all the Jabber Guest client traffic will always go through Expressway-E. Besides, the part of port mapping on Expressway-E is worthy to read, it is also important:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/Guest/10_6/icg...
