track a distance router neighbor relationship

HI

As according to the customer requirement, i have coded to the following. Please see attachment.

  • Traffic is fail over and some traffic going with the seconary SP (SP2)

But if HQ SP1 link fails, since i have set the local preference in branch, still the branch traffic goes to SP1 links. But the requirement is to route that to SP2 in case of HQ SP1 link fails

Please kindly support me to do that, i have tried several things but unable to track the other router since it is a separate distance router

Have you tried using IP SLA with track object. Another thing that you can do is using conditional bgp advertisement:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/ip/border-gateway-protocol-bgp/16137-cond-adv.html

Please let me know if you have any further queries.
