Hi All,

Please let me know what is the recommendation to put VG  for Cisco Unified Communication Implementaion! Is it in front of Firewall or behind the firewall?

Thanks in advance.

Plz check the Putting Firewall Around Gateways section of the following link

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/collab10/collab10/security.html

It explains both options.

It can be either, presumably you are referring to a VG which has both a Private IP and a Public IP?

Personally, I would put it behind a firewall (no brainer) and as long as you open the relevant ports on the FW, it should be fine.

The standard RTP UDP ports are required and probably SIP if this it the session protocol you decide to use.
