how to get Rommon in cisco 3750X?

Hi,

how can I get Rommon in cisco 3750X?

I was trying below steps but not to do something:

1. unplug the power cord.

2.press the mode button and hold it.

3.power up the switch when pressing the mode button.

4.pressing the mode button for 30 sec then you are in Rommon mode.

But it didn't work, Is there any other way? does the mode button have any problem?

Delete the IOS and reboot.

By deleting the IOS, it would be another tough task to load the image into the flash. Its not an ideal method to fall into rommon.

Depends on what proceedure to follow. The archaic Cisco method of using Xmodem takes about >45 minutes.

3750X has a USB port, and without an IOS, I can get a 3750X to boot a valid IOS in 7 minutes.

I think your solution is a good one, but my problem really was another thing. the Mode button was kind of faulty, after openning the device I found it.

Any way I could repair it by helping some friends, now the mode button is working, But thank you for trying to help.

you can try pressing the mode button every 1-2 seconds.

Hi Majid,

Why do you want to get into rommon of the switch.

Holding the mode button once you power on the switch is the best/recommended way to go into the rommon.
