Nexus to Nexus trunk not showing vlan 1 in STP forwarding

I have a Nexus 5000 to a trunk to Nexus 9000

My trunk to the switch is configured as:

interface port-channel1
description uplink to Nexus9372
switchport mode trunk
speed 10000

We purposely want Vlan1 to show up as untagged, however vlan 1 is not showing up in the STP Forwarding state.  However VTP feature is not on on the 5000 but is setup and configured in transparent mode on the 9000

I have the exact same config on another 5000 trunked to 9000, except vtp is enabled and setup as transparent on both the 5000 and 9000.  Please let me know if vtp needs to be setup on the 5000 for vlan 1 to be carried over untagged?

Thanks

What does "show int po1 trunk" show? Can you share that output?

Also share "show span vlan 1" output.

vlan 1 should be untagged based on your config as it is the native vlan.

The VTP config you have currently should have no bearings on the vlan 1 forwarding.
