What make/model of AP are you trying to power?

Does the log show anything when you plug the device in? #show log

Silly question but are all the ports enabled?

Can you post the config?

Thanks

the access points are cisco 1602, but i have tried even ip phones and cameras but the switch is just not giving POE. The switch does not have any config I defaulted it. There is no alarm

Can you provide the Model Number and IOS version of the switch?

Hello

What does the log buffer show?
Can you admin shut all the ports then enable CDP and re enable the ports to see if that does the trick?

Actually apply the power inline auto command also.

int ran fax/x -x
shut
cdp enable
power inline auto
no shut

(optional) You could also attach a serial cable to the AP and open a terminalsession to see if you get any output from the AP .
