NTP PROBLEM WITH CISCO SPA 112

Hello,

I have an NTP problem with my cisco SPA 112;

1) I don't have any NTP log in syslog even in debug mode.

2) The NTP update is done only if i specified it to every 60 seconds (excessif amount of request)

Anyone has encounter this problem before? any solutions please?

Model: SPA112, 2 FXS

We have lots of SPA112's under management and have no issue with NTP. This is the time part of our XML provisoning file (for New Zealand):

<Time_Server_Mode>manual</Time_Server_Mode>

</Time_Setup>

We are using the same firmware version you are. Have you definitely given the device good DNS servers to use?

Here is the config that i use;

Time_Setup>

<Time_Zone>+01 2 2</Time_Zone>

<Auto_Adjust_Clock>1</Auto_Adjust_Clock>

<Time_Server_Mode>manual</Time_Server_Mode>

<Time_Server>ntp.********.net</Time_Server>

<Resync_Timer>60</Resync_Timer>

<Auto_Recovery_System_Time>1</Auto_Recovery_System_Time>

<Time_Mode>1</Time_Mode>

</Time_Setup>

The SPA 112 has an RFC 6598 ip address, it won't be able to go on the internet. I redirect it to a ntp server in my network.

If the timer is >60 seconds, the SPA does not update. Its seems the NTP process is interrupted by something.

Any idea where it could the problem be?

Does it make any difference if you use an IP address for the NTP server instead of a DNS name?

Just did the test, still now working
