Cisco vWAAS problem:
“vWAAS 2500 running version universal-k9 5.4.1a cannot be converted to a WAAS CMS”
NO-HOSTNAME-10-146-8-37(config)#device mode central-manager
Device mode change is unsupported on a Cisco Optimization Engine -VWAAS. ß
We have already a vWAAS (same device type) configured as a CMS !

Hi Desmond,
The Device-type (OE-VWAAS-ESX) is a generic VMware device type.
For vWAAS you'll need the correct (sized) ova file, this is why they are split up into several versions (150/200/750/1300/2500) for the vWAAS images.
CM images (vCM) and the bigger acceleration images (12.000 & 60.000) you'll get when you purchase the license and you cannot (with my knowledge) swap between the sizes, without installing another ova-image.
Best Regards
Finn

Please proceed to talk to your Cisco Account team to get you a Central Manager ova file, it seems they gave you an accelerator ova file instead. Please notice that for WAAS CM ova, you´ll require additional resources and hardware requirements however confirm with them
