Mute participants on join

Hey all,

How can I mute all participants on join using the Conductor & TelePresence Server?  I know it will have to be a JSON command, but I can't get the combo right.

Also, is there a way to disable the *6 to unmute yourself?

Thanks,

Justin

To enable audio Rx mute on join:

{"callAttributes":{"audioRxStartMuted":true}}

There isn't a way that I saw in the API guides to disable the "Press *6 to unmute" message though.

Patrick,

Thank you for that, I just could not get the right syntax; I am so bad at programming and code :(

Do you have any idea how to change the layout on the fly for a TelePresence server with Conductor in the mix?

Thanks,
Justin

Dealing with the API is tough for me too.  You'd have to look through the Conductor's API Guides, but I do know if you change the layout for a conference, only new participants joining after the change was made would see the new layout, so you'd have to update the layout for anyone already connected one by one for them to see a change.

Ugh, why would Cisco think that changing layouts on the fly would not be an important thing?  A lot of times we start a meeting with a lecture type of layout but then want to move into a switching/brady bunch Q&A.

Thanks for the info though.

TMS has that same issue I noted where you have to modify the conference and each participant layout if you want a different layout than what the conference was created with, I opened a bug about it back when Conductor was in version XC3.0, CSCus94460.

You might be able to change the layout directly on the TPS, but if you have multiple servers behind Conductor, that might not be ideal trying to keep track of what TPS is being used for what conference etc.
