Enable LLDP on Cisco 3750

Need to enable LLDP on a 3750 switch, but command will not take and receive, "invalid input detected". Reason LLDP needs to be turned is for 4 Meraki MR34 access points. MR34 is running in low power mode and Meraki support suggested enabling LLDP (lldp run from confg t mode), but it is not working. Also tried to enable LLDP on individual interfaces, but those commands will not work either. That is as far as Meraki will take it so hoping this support community can help. 3750 is running IOS version c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-25.SEE4.

According to 3750 switch Power for the MR34s is 15.4W

Interface Admin  Oper       Power   Device              Class Max

                            (Watts)

--------- ------ ---------- ------- ------------------- ----- ----

Fa1/0/1   auto   off        0.0     n/a                 n/a   15.4

Fa1/0/2   auto   off        0.0     n/a                 n/a   15.4

Fa1/0/3   auto   on         15.4    MR34                4     15.4

Fa1/0/4   auto   on         15.4    MR34                4     15.4

Fa1/0/5   auto   on         15.4    MR34                4     15.4

According to Meraki dashboard power consumption

9.34 W PoE 802.3af (running in low power mode)

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Believe you need a newer IOS version for LLDP support.  (As Cisco has had CDP, they're a bit late supporting LLDP.)

Have a look at Table 6 of the c3750 12.2(46)SE Release Notes:

Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) and LLDP Media Endpoint Discovery (LLDP-MED: 12.2(37)SE

Link Layer Discovery Protocol Media Extensions (LLDP-MED): 12.2(40)SE
