Hello,
if I plug in an expansion module (16 Port universal GEM2) into a Cisco Nexus (5000 Series), can I configure the port type of the new slot 2 completely independent of slot 1?
For example when I configured:
slot 1
port 1-16 type ethernet
port 17-32 type fc
Is it now possible to configure slot 2 like this:
slot 2
port 1-8 type ethernet
port 9-16 type fc
Normally you have to configure the first block (of 2,4,8 etc. ports) with type X and the rest with type Y. You can not mix it up like 1-4 ethernet, 5-8 fc and 9-32 ethernet.
But is it the same behaviour when you have an expansion module (slot 2)?
Thanks in advance
Best regards
