Hi,

I am trying to turn on LACP on an old switch (WS-C4507R).  However, there is no active/passive options available.

SW1_((config-if)#channel-group 1 mode ?
auto Enable PAgP only if a PAgP device is detected
desirable Enable PAgP unconditionally
on Enable Etherchannel only

PLABB2_0822_ESW4_((config-if)#channel-group 1 mode

This is my show ver:

Does anyone knows why there isn't an active/passive option? Is setting 'ON' means using LACP?

Hey

No , setting on is forcing etherchannel it is not lacp its actually no used protocol when you use that no negotiation at all.

Some older platforms do not support open source LACP they only support Cisco version PAGP
