Anyone know if this is a supported setup?
Nexus 7010 with dual supervisors and 2 line cards (N7K-M132XP-12L) that support FEX. We want to connect our dual NIC server to 2 different FEX model 2248TP. Each FEX will be connected to a different card in the same Nexus 7010 but configured as a vPC. The server NICs will be setup in a Port-Channel to transmit/receive on both interfaces (active/active).
Thank you
Frank

Hello,
The first part is fine. You can team two NICs connected to different FEXs; however, you do not need to configure a VPC when you connect a FEX to only one Nexus. You need to configure a normal port channel. VPC is configured when you connect a switch to two peer Nexus switches .Why you do not connect each FEX to different nexus (7010-1 and 7010-2)?

Hi Masoud,
You are correct - Connecting to a single Nexus does not allow the creation of a vPC (my bad). You stated it well and correct - It's a port-channel.
Our N7Ks do not support all the requirements -at this point- to support dual-homing FEXs
The URL for dual-homing FEX to N7K just in case anyone needs it.

Thank you for your assistance
