Hi,

I unable to add Access point in wireless controller.

What are the things I needs to confirm in AP & WLC.

I checked the Ap added in that switch. I checked the Existing AP also, they also have the same config as the new one.

Kindly do the needful.

Hi,

have you already configured your DNS Servers with LWAPP & CAPWAP DNS Names?

Let's start from the bottom up

Im assuming you have static IP address on the APs, AND the management IP address of the AP is on the same subnet as your WLC

1. Check if your AP is using an LWAPP image
-The best way to check is to simply do 'show capwap ip config' if it accepts that command then your AP is for sure using LWAPP

2. Verify if the port on the switch has good connectivity
-First, remove the AP connection to the switch, assign your laptop for example the same ip address, connect your computer to the SAME port on the switch, then ping the IP address of the WLC

If you can ping that, then awesome

2. Verify if you still have enough licenses on your WLC
-It is actually can be found on the dashboard, but for further details go to:

AT: Management Tab
CLICK: Software Activation
AT: Licenses                        -License Info/Status
AT: License Usage               -APs Left/APs used

Let's start from here

Hi Cabrillo,

We unable to login AP Kindly let me know the inputs to login AP.

As you said, I could see the exiting AP's are working under LAP, But the new AP flatform I could see CAP36.

Kindly reply as soon.

Regards,

Revathi

US: Cisco PW: Cisco E-PW: Cisco
-Capital 'C' at the beginning
