Where do I post questions re: CUCM rel 9? We lost our individual for support but have access to Call Manager. We only need documentation/tutorial for changing user/extension names & modifying BLF for visibility and call pickup.
I'll just add a note to the good ideas from my buddy Deepak here (+5 "D"). The IP Telephony sub forum is your best bet for CUCM related questions.
I would highly recommend getting yourself a few test phones set up in a little lab type setting so you can play with config changes without impacting any users. 3 or 4 phones would usually suffice for what you want to try and test out here. The best way to learn this stuff is definitely "hands on".
