UCS Firmware upgrade

Hi,

I found recommended sw for ucs is 2.2.6e

But the latest drivers files is 2.2.6c and 2.2.7

So I need to confirm if it is ok to go with the latest available 2.2.6 which is 2.2.6c and not to go with 2.2.7 ?

And do I need to download this file

ISO image of UCS-related Windows utilities ?

Or why I may need it

Thanks

Greetings.

You will want to use the UCS interop matrix to determine the exact driver version needed for your blade's firmware and OS version.

Each driver ISO has a 2nd small zip file that contains a HTML and .csv contents listing of driver versions included.

If the 2.2.7 named driver ISO has the correct version of the FNIC drivers for instance, then you can use the 2.2.7 ISO.  Various drivers ISO, won't always have an updated driver for every component, and many times will have the same driver version as previous driver ISOs simply because no new driver was released.

The Utilities ISO is normally not needed for driver purposes, but contains items like raid/storage utilities such as LSI's MegaRaid Manager,StorCli, and NIC teaming Utilities, etc..

Thanks,

Kirk
