Are we not supposed to connect the Internet line from Wireless Router to the AP?

I have an existing Wireless Router from ASUS and there is SSID configured called MyWLAN.

Shall we use the same SSID when configuring the AP?

Shall AP and wireless router be use simulteniously or AP will replace wRouter?

The documentation you mentioned did not provide this information.

No, you cannot replace your wireless modem as it does the NAT,DHCP etc for your clients. Cisco AP can't do the NAT function & directly plug to an internet connection.

So what you can do is when you get wireless working with Cisco AP, you can disable wireless functionality of your wireless router, but other functionality to be remain.

Yes.

Both require. As said earlier, you can turn off wireless on your wireless router once Cisco AP is working properly.

If I do exactly what is mentioned in this video, I am able to configure AP. On some client Machines AP is available while other can not find that newly created SSID (even I have selected broadcast).

1. Why is like some machines can not reach / find the new SSID (all machine are near by each other).

2. How to deal with frequencies or range or is it something will be corrected automatically by AP?

3. Shall I enable Dot11Radio0 or Dot11Radio1?

4. 2.4 0r 5Ghz ?

5. IP should be DHCP enabled or static one  OR belongs to same subnet as wireless router?

Hi,

Try to enable both band (2.4 and 5 Ghz), may be few machine only works with one band.

If you enable both band then AP will automatically do the rest....Make usre Antenna is connected properly.

Leave it to DHCP

I have 3 APs which are supposed to be used to extend the WiFi range ,,, I am talking how I can determine which Place AP should be installed? I mean how to know that in this particular area, there is need for Another AP.

Site survey is the best  idea to determine the exact location of placement for AP.

1. Do you recomend some toos for this? Or or lets say If I have 3 APs, one in middle and one on each side_?

2. On 5 GHz client, I still get 130 MB link instead of 1 GB .... something is wrong here? AP and client both support 5 Ghz.
