Hi, I notice there are two ip address which are connected with in two separate devices. I am not sure it can work. Any one explain it? Thank you
One ip address is 10.10.10.196/31, and another is 10.10.10.197/31
I guess the network ip already become host ip address

As long as you are running modern Cisco code that will be fine. /31's are used to reduce IP wastage.

Thank you for your reply. How about broadcast address? Can you explain "modern CIsco code" used here?

Since /31 is used for point to point links you only need 2 IPs an so there is no need for broadcast address. "Modern Cisco codes" means newer IOS version.
