Checking a authorized number in a external DB when call is dialled

Hi

I have the following scenario.  The user dials a number from a Cisco 79xx phone.  The dialed number needs to be checked against a white list.  The whitelist is on a database on a separate server.  Only calls on the whitelist should be dialed. After the call is dialled the dial count is also incremented on the same database.

Any thoughts on how we can address this?

Thanks Deepak...  Any other possibilities without using a 3rd party product?

No there is no other way just using CM. If there would have been UCCX in your environment then it still would have been possible, how is mentioned below:

All the required calls should have been sent over to UCCX

On UCCX there would have been a XML file uploaded hosted including all the numbers. All this logic will of course will applied inside the script

If it is a match, route the call back to CM and then out to PSTN

If it is not a match, then simply disconnect

It actually *might* be possible, but it would require custom development and use the External Call Control Profile feature of CUCM. I just recently found out of some 3rd party developers who use the option to provide enhanced call routing to CUCM that way.
