Hi all.
I am trying to create a connection between a 4g site and my home. Only problem is as this is a 4g connection my WAN on the 4g side can only have a dynamic ip unlike my home which has a sticky IP. All the sites i have seen only allow a GRE connection to have an ip not a DNS address which would be usefull and i could us no-ip.org or similar.
Is this possible ?
If not what would be the best alternative method for a semi permanent connection between my 4g site and my home.
If anyone has some examples i would be greatful in my pursuit !
Thanks
Paul

What model and type of device do you have at each site?

Hi Philip. Thank you for replying to my post.
Currently i have a 1841 at home and a 878 at the 4g side. However i could swap round if need be.
I did start to try this using a mikrotik routerbourd but as i am currently studying cisco ccent/ccna i thought would make more sense !
Thank you in advance
Paul

I would look at implementing DMVPN. Make the 1841 the head end.
