Can not Configure HSRP in cisco catalyst 3850-X series switch.

Hi,

I hope you are all well!

I try to configure HSRP in cisco catalyst 3850-X series switch, But I can't configure HSRP cause the command are not there.

This is the Software version installed on it...

Switch Ports Model SW Version SW Image Mode
------ ----- ----- ---------- ---------- ----
1 32 WS-C3850-24T 03.02.03.SE cat3k_caa-universalk9 INSTALL

So please anybody help me how to configure HSRP.

Hi,

What is the output of "sh ver"?

Also, under the vlan interface where you are trying to configure HSRP, what is the output of "standby ?"

example:

config t

inter vlan 1

standby ?

Hi!

HSRP in 3850 is supported till version 3.3.X so an update is necessary to any other version, 3.6.4 recommended. Also, at least IPBASE license is needed.

Please help me how to IOS Update 03.02.03.SE cat3k_caa-universalk9 to cat3k_caa-universalk9.SPA.03.06.04.E.152-2.E4.bin.

Please send me Procedure of IOS up-gradation.

Remember to use the correct file name for the release version you want
