Not enough resources TMS-Conductor-TelepresenceServer issue

Hello all,

We have a solution with TMS (14.6.2), Conductor (XC3.0.3) and TPS (4.1(2.33)).

Since we upgraded TMS to 14.6.2 (from 14.2.1) we are getting this error:

We get this error when we have another schedule and both get over 12 participants. We tried to change Conductor's templates (720/30 and no content should be 1/2 screen license) to use less than a license per participant but we still get this error.

Before tMS upgrade we have no issues with that, we can schedule and run conferences on TPS using more than 12 participants, no matter what quality we choose.

Best regards,

David.

There should be a "1280 x 720p 5fps" option under the content quality drop down.

How many screen license are installed on the TelePresence Server?

Can you provide a screenshot of the conference template you're trying to use in Conductor?

Hello Patrick,

we were using this template before upgrading TMS (for TPS bridge):

Never get this issue for resources before upgrading to TMS 14.6.2

Right now we are using this template to be able to schedule two conferences on TPS with more than 12 combined participants:

We have installed on TPS: TS screen licenses x 12

It has no sense that before TMS upgrading we can schedule more than 12 and now, using the same template, same liceses, we get this msg.

Maybe Cisco has changed the way a resource is consumed. Have you an updated table of screens/resources?

Best regards,

David.

You'll be consuming around 1 screen license per call in your first image because you're using FullHD video quality, while in your second image, you'll be consuming about .5 screen license per call.

Because you're using combinations of video and content quality that isn't documented, it's unknown exactly the amount of resources that will be used, but you can figure it out by multiplying the number of screen licenses by the utilization in percent reported in Conductor.

To see the most up to date to date resource usage based on call type refer to the TelePresence Server datasheet or release notes.

Thanks for your always usefull answers Patrick.

As you said we can schedule more than 12 participants in HD with no content quality but I still don't imagine why with TMS 14.2.1 we can use more than 12 Full HD 1280x720 content participants.

Maybe was an unintended bug.

Again, thanks a lot.

Best regards,

David.

Probably a good idea to contact TAC, if it is a bug they can help figure it out.  You should be able to scheduled up to 24 participants with 720p30 video and 720p5 content, if that helps.

I can't choose 720p5 as content quality and can't find where to change it, only higher qualities for content.

Where I can add more qualities?

There should be a "1280 x 720p 5fps" option under the content quality drop down.

Many many thanks Patrick.

Again I have TMS working well.

Best regards,

David.
