Hi,
by VPN Termination, do you mean Site-to-Site VPN?
Depending on your VPN setup, some routers can handle it, some cannot.
Which router do you have?

How many VPN tunnels a router can handle at a single time?
What is the usual practice in the industry?

Due to the variety of routers out there, you cannot really answer that question. It all depends on which router you have, the image and licence for it. Some high end routers can handle more then the small business ones.
Often you might have an ASA controlling the VPN connections as well. So to answer your question, it depends.

As I wrote before, some routers cannot handle any at all.
ASA 5505 / Security Plus
Maximum Site to Site VPNs:
10/25
ASA 5506-X / Security Plus
Maximum Site to Site VPNs:
10/50
ASA 5515-X
Maximum Site to Site VPNs:
250
ASA 5555-X

Please note that the answers here is still, it depends. How fast is your connection to your ISP? How much data is being sent over the VPNs etc.
