Load Balancing using two ISP

Hi all,

I have the above topology for new project objective is as follows

we have two vlans say Vlan 10: 10.232.22.0/24 and vlan 20: 10.232.23.0/24

Requirement is to route vlan 10 via ISPA and vlan 20 via ISP B

In case ISPA fails VLAN 10 should go via ISPB and in case ISPB fails VLAN20 should go via ISPA

HSRP runs between R2 and R4

I can successfully route vlan 10 to ISPA and vlan 20 to ISPB by running NAT on both routers for respective vlans but not sure how to do a failover if one of the ISP fails

Thanks much

Hi,

You would have to configure both vlans on both routers and than higher priority for vlan 10 on ISPA and higher priority for vlan 20 on ISPB.  This way ISPA is the HSRP master for vlan 10 and ISPB for vlan 20 and if one router fails the other router can forward all traffic for both vlans.

Thanks for your reply Reza

Can you please give me a configuration example?

note: in the case of any of the ISPs goes down all the traffic should use the remaining link
