I am working on cisco WS-C6513 with Version 12.2(17r)S4,
And created a layer 2 vlan, and an interface vlan, But when I try to enable the interface vlan, I didn't get any response.
lab6513(config)#vla 200
lab6513(config-vlan)#name temp
lab6513(config-vlan)#exit
% Applying VLAN changes may take few minutes. Please wait...
lab6513(config)#interface vla 200
lab6513(config-if)#ip add 10.255.255.201 255.255.255.0
lab6513(config-if)#no shut
lab6513(config-if)#
lab6513(config-if)#
lab6513(config-if)#
lab6513(config-if)#exit
lab6513(config)#do sh run int vl 200

Do you have any live ports in the associated vlan 200 at all? I would have thought that the vlan would be Admin up, but line protocol down.

Thanks guys,,

do you have any other interface who has ip address in "10.255.255.0 255.255.255.0" subnet?
