Prime Collaboration Assurance Standard ISDN monitoring

Hello all,
Does somebody know if is possible to monitor the status (up/down) of ISDN interfaces (both E1/T1 circuits and BRI interfaces) connected to voice gateways with prime collaboration assurance standard?
In the administration guide of prime collaboration standard i find that MGCP T1, FXS, and FXO are monitorable. It does not mention the BRI interfaces.
Can you tell me if this feature is avaiable on prime collaboration assurance standard or not?

Best regards
Giovanni

As far as I can tell, the answer is no because the only infrastructure that PCA Standard supports is CUCM and CUC clusters. You cannot add network infrastructure.

The only way I can see with PCA Standard would be making the BRI an MGCP gateway, at which point there would be a gateway unregistered alarm from CUCM if it went down.

See Table 2:

Thanks Jonathan.

I think the same.

i checked the document here: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/prime/collaboration/11-5/assurance/standard/guide/cpco_b_Cisco-Prime-Collaboration-Assurance-Guide-Standard-11-5.pdf

at page 69/70 it says that with standard it's possible to monitor voice interface status and activity if you use MGCP (because callmanager knows this status using this protocol).

It does not mention the BRI interfaces, but i think that should be possibile to monitor them with MGCP.

But probably is better to use advanced license to monitor the voice gateway directly no matter the signaling protocol you use between CUCM and VoiceGateway.

Bye

Hi Jonathan, our PCA Advanced could monitor Voicegateway E1 Links status?Do I need any config? Thanks!

Try setting up SNMP traps for the PRI/BRI interfaces on the router and see if prime alarms on it or not.
