Finnese Direct Transfer Always Invokes MTP

Guys,

CUCM 10.5.X

While working on a deployment and troubleshooting some issues, I realized that when an agent uses the direct transfer button on Finesse, CUCM always invoke an MTP device. This is obviously not desirable and this only happens for direct transfer. Is there anything that can be done to change this behaviour, I dont want media terminating on CUCM for such a large contact center.

Hello deji,

Try changing the DTMF method on SIP trunk from "No Preference" to "RFC 2833" and see if that helps.

sometimes even though the DTMF signaling are are matching in SDP offer and what CUCM can negotiate, CUCM still tries to insert an MTP not sure why.
