Block Incoming Calls MGCP

I have found many documents demostrating how to do this:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11283866/blocking-calls-cucm
https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/77241/technotes-how-block-incoming-calls-cucm-8x-based-ani-mgcp-gateway

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11871421/blocking-incoming-calls

With the most informative and popular being

https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/71966/blocking-calls-based-calling-party-id

Here are my concerns.

It appears thet if you block ANI in CUCM (8.0 and above) it has to analyze every single call thenblocks it if it finds a match. Howvwer, if you look in the replies, many people are having a problem with Unknown callers. I cannot implement this in Call Manager if I am going to experience any call blocks other than the ANI I have specified.

Can someone advise if they are successfully blocking the calling party number in a production environment?

Here is a link to a non-MGCP gatweway block but this is not relevant as I have MGCP gateways in my production environment

The 'anonymous' or 'unknown' call issue is when you use SIP Gateway.

With MGCP gateway, you will not face any such issues. You may implement this solution.

Hi,

I have not set this up in a production environment as I dislike MGCP but have tested it successfully in a lab using the blog published by William Bell at the link below:
