Do we need to upgrade ios in stby-bootflash in ASR1K?

Hi We want to upgrade ios in ASR1K. Do you think we need to upgrade both bootflash and stby-bootflash?

But I saw people just do once in bootflash. Thank you

Hi,

If you have two RPs, in order to have full redundancy you need to have a new software image on both of them. Also you need the same versions of software on both of them to reach SSO redundancy state, and in case of RP failure you need to have the file to boot on the standby as well.

Thank you for your reply. I am a little confused. How can we know if the ASR has two RPs? The RP is working like Sup in Nexus7K?
