Maximum number of POE devices supported on 2960

Hi,

I wonder what is the maximum POE devices supported on 2960 switches (max is 370).

Device details are;

(88%) have 7965 phones (12.0 W)

around 10% have phones like 8945 (6.4 W) & 8813 (13.0 W)

2% AP (15.4 W)

Currently 33-37 ports are being used on most switches and we are left with 22W-30W on each. In coming days we are gonna run every switch on full capacity.

All free ports at the moment, won't be able to light up 7965? What can be different strategies.

PoE allowance is first-come-first-serve-until-full.

So if there are no more power allowance left then the other option is to use an injector.

When there is no more power allowance left then the device won't light up.

Ya agree; devices won't light up and Mechanism to use power injection.

Just trying to understand different methods to do it on 2960
