Policing to 100Mbps with the same policy-map over different interfaces service-policy in routers

We have many different interfaces in our routers. On these we have service-policys to limit bandwith to 100Mbps.

If we use a class-map matching an access-list like "permit ip any any"

and a policy-map with that class-map to police down to 100Mbps.

If we apply that policy map as interface service-policy out. Would all interfaces that are using that service-policy share 100Mbps or will they get 100Mbps each?

Thanks for any reply.

Regards

Henrik

Hi,

Since you are applying the policy per interface, each interface will get 100Mb

And another note, if you set polices on router subinterfaces, the policer would be effective per subinterface (independently of other subinterfaces on the same main interface).

Thank you both and yes in our Case it is applied to subinterfaces.
