C460 JBOD - Can't install OS right ....

Hi Guys ,

Firstly , thanks in advance for your comments .

I'm a cisco worker .

A client bought UCS C-460 with 12 SSD , 3TB each . It got no RAID controller, it is just JBOD .

I'm trying to install RHEL 7.2 on it , like the user asked [he asked that 100GB will go to " / " , and keep the rest un allocated ]

I have some issues with it .

I installed it , but something went wrong ... don't know what ...

the installation seems to be fine , but after the reboot , nothing booted up ...

I suspect that some configuration via CIMC is wrong .

please take a look on the screenshot , and let me know and if it's fine , and if you can aim me to something that I might did wrong .

thanks a lot !

Greetings.

Since boot disk is larger than 2TB, you are required to use UEFI.

Please make sure you have the following:

  • Boot order mode is set to UEFI (not Legacy)
  • Option rom for HBA slot or PCI slot the raid card is in, is enabled.
  • Rhel 7.2 should correctly create an UEFI boot entry

You may need to reinstall again, if it wasn't set to UEFI.

Thanks,

Kirk....
