Hi All,

Behind Load Balancer, there are 3 esa. Two esa in the cluster and one esa as standalone. When we tried to put standalone esa in the cluster. It stop sending and receiving the mail. After removing the esa in the cluster which we added it start receiving and sending mail.

We have one mail server which send the mail to Load Balancer, device which we removed from the cluster queued has increased in esa. But ESAs in the cluster is not taking more mails.

Hi,

Adding a device to the cluster should not impact the mail flow.

However, while adding the device to cluster you would need to ensure the listeners and interfaces have the same name as listeners are a cluster level configuration.

Apart from that as long as the traffic is allowed in and out the mail flow should work as normal.

Thanks

Libin

Hello,

I would have to agree with Libin and make sure the IP interface names are the same (case sensitive) across the board. This would ensure that when you join the standalone ESA to the cluster, the cluster-level listeners are able to correctly attach to the interface/s. You can also perform the (netstat -n) command from the CLI to ensure that the device is properly listening on the correct IP/port.

Thanks!
