7941 Phone firmware upgrade

7941 Phones have SCCP41.9-4-2SR1-1S firmware. New SCCP41.9-4-2SR2-2S firmware is uploaded, tftp service is restarted.
Only factory default reset provide firmware upgrade. We have a lot of such phones and manually upgrade is not option.
With old firmware he have problem with directory menu items.

Hi,

(a). Have you tried specifying the firmware load name manually on the phone under the " phone load name " followed by a reset and restart of the device from CUCM?

(b). Instead of doing a factory reset, have you tried erasing the device configuration from the phone to see if tries to get the new firmware?

(c). Are the phones and the call manager are at different sites or in same network?

a. Yes.

b. Yes, no change.

c. Phones are in different networks, some at the same site, some at different.

It may be an issue with ITL file on the phones. Check Status Messages on the phone and see if you have a lot of "Trust List Update Failed". This would also cause Directories not to work.
