Trying to setup the CSPC

Good morning, I just downloaded and deployed the CSPC OVA template. However when I boot it up and try to use the username and password provided in the documentation here: https://supportforums.cisco.com/blog/12696871/self-service-onboarding-setting-cspc-25-collector namely user: admin, password: Admin!23 it does not work and says login incorrect.

Does anyone know the password?

Hi Jason,

That should be the correct username/password. What is the filename of the OVA you deployed?

This is the file name: SNTC-CSPC2.6.1-RC1-OVF10.ova

Neither admin/Admin!23 or admin/Admin123 work.

Sorry, I think the login should be Admin#123. See page 9 here http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/inventory_and_reporting/CSPC_Getting_Started_Guide_2-5.pdf

The credentials admin/Admin#123 did not work in the console either. I cannot login to configure the IP's to see if Admin#123 would work in the web GUI.

Hi Jason,

The collector prompts you to change the password when you first log in. It could be that it was accidentally changed when you first did the deployment. I'd suggest deploying a new OVA and try to log in again.

The latest version uses

U: admin

P: Admin#123

Thank you all for your help. It turns out that admin/Admin!23 did eventually work, however the VMware console has issues with Linux OSes sometimes. So the characters may not have been sent correctly to the console. I had to type the password very slow and wait about a second between each key press to get it to accept the password.
