Hello,

I am Trying to create a backup from  Prime Collaboration Assurance 9.5 from using CLI, because we are unable to obtain the backups from via Web (in fact we need to install a fresh copy of the prime)

However when we try to do the backup, an error appears like the presented in the attached image (error - cpcm backup error). We tested the sftp server and this is working OK, in fact this server SFTP is working like backup for CUCM, UCCX and CUC, the credentials are right.

Is there someone who has gotten a similar issue?, how can you get the backup ?

thanks in advance

I have found that the problem is because no available disk space, as showed in the image. My question is, is there any manner to save disk space , or increase the size of the partition  or anything? how?

Hello,

We began to save disk space by erasing some files *.log in the folders /opt/log and /opt/emms/. The result was a saving about 13 Gb, the necessary to do the backup.

However a new error was presented: In te log at /opt/backup/<name of the backup>/backup/appcomponent/ombackup.log we found the following error:

prime Could not connect to engine 'cmfEng' on 'cmfDb' in Bulk mode.

Another line in the log was that the user id and password were not valid to communicate to the cmf db; so we understood that the db was corrupted.

The nex step was to restaurate the DB with the following steps:

1.  stop the daemon manager

/etc/init.d/dmgtd stop

2. restore the DB to the initial status, it is a new and clear data base (the data in these DB will be erased, however we are not interested with the database, but the configuration; so you need evaluate your needs)

/opt/CSCOpx/bin/dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=cmf dmprefix=Cmf

3. start the daemon manager

/etc/init.d/dmgtd stop

and next, try to do newly the backup. check your sftp, ftp, or tftp server configuration, and all this worked fine.
