License Migration 9 to 11

Can we migrate all CUCM 9 license to CUCM 11 without any cost ?
Do we need to purchase any extra CUCM 11 license or we can just use old CUCM 9 license ?
What will be the process to migrate CUCM 9 License to CUCM 11 ?
We need to also migrate Unity connection 9 license to Unity connection 11 . Will there be any cost involved in it ?

Hi Madhav,

a. yes, You can migrate CUCM9 license to CUCM11 , if u have purchased SWSS .If u have valid SWSS contract, u can place order through Product Upgrade Tool [PUT]

b. You cannot use CUCM 9 license for CUCM11.

c. Once u have successfully upgraded to CUCM11, u need to generate PLM request file and share with licensing@cisco.com to get permanent lic file.You get 60 days of grace period under CUCM 11

d. Same procedure u need to follow for Unity connection as well.

If u have do not have SWSS contract then, u need to get in touch partner for migration details .

Just adding to Aman's point.

Please make sure you have the existing Lic counts from the PLM, the original PO or the Sales Order details when you are dealing with Licensing Team.

Lic Team is one of the most easiest to work with but if you have these details, it will be a piece of cake to get the new Licenses.
